Why do you say that growth is still missing in USA? The annualized GDP is 3,1 % and in europe it is only 2 %. USA also has a lower unemployment rate than europe.

Does anyone know the fundamental reason for the increase in value of the GBP. Trade balance was worse than expected and Mervyn King said in the inflation report that he expects CPI to fall = no rate hike. So why did the GBP rise?
