Shorts are working on my side, but here ia a version with wick size in pips. The standard values are for gold (e.g. sl=1000). The ro-values are the maximum wick size. For gold, I need to put in a size of 10000, no idea why yet... This program works ...

I'll give it a try (as a non-coder...), in the meantime you could change the % value. The slope is used to implement your filter rule - no buy (sell) trade if the lows point up (down).

Hi Chris, thanks for putting out your idea! I used an online coder to speed up testing; The signal is the wick/whole candle relation (standard 10%) and the slope of highs/lows. file P.S. Gold seems the way to go so far...
