Skyhook replied Dec 12, 2006I would still prefer to be able to just have one instance be all I need. Hopefully multi-monitor will be built into the next MT. Although, that being said, 22" widescreen monitors do make things easier
.Removing chart from workstation to another monitor ?

Skyhook replied Dec 12, 2006You can't. It has to stay within the MT4 window (which is lame I know). About the best thing you can do is to drag your MT4 window so it stretches across both monitors and then move your chart. MT4 is very dual-monitor unfriendly.

Skyhook replied Dec 8, 2006Mostly just API's, that tend to be more refined than MT4 anyways. It all works on the same principle though, automated trading. I'm sure quite a few of those brokers would allow you to pipe it in through MT4 if you wanted.

Skyhook replied Dec 8, 2006I'm fairly certain UBS has this kind of setup. I know Dukascopy has these kind of accounts. I know Wachovia does this sort of thing (they just never say anything about it). I've heard that Forex.com lets you build an API system as well. This is one ...

Skyhook replied Dec 8, 2006This is true, but when you get to the real big boys (and I mean the banks themselves for instance), they'll encourage your EA to work properly since they're getting something out of it as well since they're no bucket shops. At this point, you find ...

Skyhook replied Dec 3, 2006He should just ask them to show him the explicit law that requires him to pay income tax. Let them run around and not find an answer for a while and back off.

Skyhook replied Nov 25, 2006I don't think dollars are worthless when that's what the grocery store and my landlord require me to pay them with. I think the cashier might balk when I try to hand them ten quid instead of a Jackson. Sure the value of the dollar may be bunk, but I ...

Skyhook replied Nov 24, 2006Well, maybe we'll see a return to the larger daily ranges now? I remember that the speculation was that China was holding things up in a way.

Skyhook replied Nov 11, 2006The only problem with this thinking is that then you completely forego any responsible or critical thinking on your part regarding the system. I agree with the "paid speakers crowd" that tell everyone that in order to truly make a system work, you ...
Does Mechanical Trading Bring Peace of Mind?
-
Skyhook replied Nov 11, 2006I think that mechanical trading still requires experience to be involved. Aparsai, the reason you're (and now me, thanks to you, haha) doing well with your mechanical trading is because you used your experience in the markets to develop a system to ...

Skyhook replied Nov 9, 2006Am I to assume that you're the same Idamiani who's in the trading champsionship as well? Anyways, as far as Phoenix goes, I'm finding that I'm getting better results on my demo account with Phoenix running in mode 1 over the others. While running in ...

Skyhook replied Nov 7, 2006Palmer, here's a quick screen snippet of an indicator that I use that gave me "the same" signal during this time, but in a different way. If throw me some more pictures I'd be more than happy to craft up some more side by sides to see if it's worth ...

Skyhook replied Nov 7, 2006This is exactly why I prefer mechanizing my trading. It keeps me from guessing about everything. "Oh I see I should enter here, but this is X where last time it was Y?" Even though X and Y have nothing to do with the rules of the system, I let them ...
