Question for MissPips — Happy Easter to everyone! Hi MissPips, In an earlier post ref the Swiss Army Mixed Histo you wrote... Changed all the trix types except the divergence type to use the T3 trix instead of the THV3 Trix for MTFhisto. This ...

Hi Miss Pips, What's the difference between v1.4 and v1.5 please?

Yes that's right, a low or a high is formed enough times to make you watch and wait before you jump in. Just look at today on the EUR USD the low of the day was at 0740 gmt. 00, 20, 50 and 80 are sometimes called Sweet Spots. These can be good ...

The thread is alive and well — Ditto! Take a look at this trade today... EUR/USD 1. PA been in an uptrend today. Heads up on 5 min chart when the 5 min IC Histo turns blue at 1515 hrs GMT. (Both lights are blue so even better). 2. Price is ...

This is a tough one if you don't have a lot of time-served in reading the charts. 1. Between 0800 and 0900 GMT the low or the high of the day is often put in (esp when no big news). It is statistically significant. Go through last 20 days and check ...

It is important to choose a timeframe that suits your own personality. For example Miss Pips (by her own admission) trades the 1 minute chart because she has a short attention span. Others use the 1 hour because a more leisurely look at the charts ...

Yes exactly. It's just an example of the method. The currency pair does not really matter although it works best on GBP/USD, EUR/USD, EUR/JPY.

Hi, An idea that works for me is to use the 20 sma as a line in the sand. After reversal candle go long if price is above the sma and short if price is below the sma. Less trades this way though. Have a look at the example.

I've been in business 25 years and met many of the Todd Anderson's of this World. They always get their comeuppance in the end. Just concentrate on the good job you're doing and you'll be rewarded of that I'm sure. "What goes around comes around" as ...

I think you've pointed out the problem yourself. Your stoploss was too tight and dangling in the middle of nowhere. Correct stop would have been 1.3814 (above the Swing High on 5 min chart). You could have got away with 1.3804 (above Sweet Spot of ...

Yeah I've got the compass. I don't see where you can programme the colour changes that's all.

Looks interesting! Can you please post a copy of the MA (I think it's the 20 sma you have there) that changes colour. Thanks!

I think it was a good trade and met all the criteria I use except it was within 30 minutes of a major news item. (after the news the pair jumped 70 pips!) If I'm trading off the 5 min and 1 min I don't need the M15 or higher trix to be in line. I ...
