An addendum to the previous post ans some furhter probabilities ... Assume that the first 4 numbers of a sequence of interest (e.g. close prices) doesn't contain an increasing or decreasing subsequence. What is the probability that the last, fifth ...

It seems like I'm recurring to this old shit at least once a year ... This time I played around with Eurusdd's 5-linear subsequence theorem ... I know that your post is rather old. Nevertheless, maybe you are interested in why you didn't came close ...

Do you have any idea/have any chance to overcome these triangles? I created and tested a multitude of strategies (e.g. mean reversion, reversal, grid trading, etc.) and they all failed in the long run because of these f***ing triangles. I already ...

That's true. However, if he claims that he has a 65 % edge, the winning probability is already encountered in the formula, isn't it?

Forget about R:R. It's irrelevant. What counts is the winning percentage! Win % = % won - % lost And don't forget to account for spread, slippage, etc. And, of course, 12 weeks are not enough by far to rely on the strategy.

I haven't said that it can't work. Well, this is a forum. And forums are made for discussions. Thus, I suggest that you discuss it here instead of a telegram chat ...

Thanks for pointing this out! RR imho is the biggest BS. People tell you to use a good RR, e.g. risking 1 bucks for a 5 buck return. But they don't realize that changing the RR will change your winning %, too. In the case of RR = 1:5 and under the ...

Common gals, Nazeer7 is new here. And merlin is a wizard! Do you really believe that wizards can't enchant prices and indicators? The method is stated on the 1st page. It is written on the internet. So, why shouldn't it be a reliable source?

Hi TD, please let me ask two questions: What is the reason that you've estimated both probabilities over a particular limited data set? What was the lookback period of your calculation (how many weeks does it incorporate)? Are you factoring in the ...

Please let me add to this discussion ... I think what TracingDelta meant is that you first should collect some info on price behaviour around your line. For reasons of simplicity let's chose the open price of ...High/Low Strike

That's not true. If price would be purely random there would be ways to be profitable as well as if prize is deterministic ... It just depends on the kind of random walk. Assume that the prize increments are normally distributed. In that case BB's ...

That's not a problem, is it? When price often crosses the open line then it won't deviate much from it. Thus, the DD is small in the meantime. Of course, I can't answer it. But I guess there could be lines with higher "relevance" - just like there ...
