a 12/26/1 setting macd are you kidding? what kind of a filter is that? its basically not acting as a filter at all...it will give a signal too easily basically all the time.

I understand the simplicity that this morning there were about 5 consecutive losses trying to sell eurusd and gbpusd for the couple of hours before the usd pmi came out.

I understand tma is the core of the method but he asked about the trend direction of the tma slope but why would that matter? that's not something that we look for we just look for trend direction on the h4 5/10 anyways.

because it wasn't TOO negative. It's one of those situations where it could go either way. The over/under on it was 50 and they exptend about 52.7 according to fxfactory. It was lower than expected but still over 50 and it wasn't too significantly ...

Keep this on your charts. Only take a trade / signal if the current H4 candle fits and price is being taken in the same direction. This might be a good filter to add on
