I was wondering about this release too, as at the beginning of the week a 25bps rise was 100% certain, now it is only a 28% chance of happening. I think the play is buy usd/jpy if no rise, but the bigger move will be if they hike.

Best way to trade is a break of the high or low tunnell. So above 1.9586 long, or short 1.9528. But its a strong GBP/USD market, so I would think it would retrace upwards.

Yes GBP/Cad has a 10pip spread but moves 2-3 times any move on a clean USD move. But the margin requirements are higher, so its swings and roundabouts.

This release hasnt moved much recently, especially when US data is released at the same time. Maybe its better to play CAD gdp release against another cross rate, such as cad/jpy or gbp/cad.

Be interesting if they didnt raise. There is about a 10% chance they will pause But if they do aud/usd loses 100pips. But if they do raise, i cant see aud/usd going up too much anyway.
