The consolidation here looks like a good place to slip in another long order for position building. Placing one order at the breakout.

Patience have paid off once again! I really must give thanks to DaddyBear and his technical views, helping me refine my entry points or I would have gone long at less than ideal spots due to my lack of charting knowledge.

Be patient my friends. For the CPI numbers the bulls will not want to see anything below 0.6%. My threshold for CPI will be 0.4%, anything below that to me, will indicate more room for more rate cuts or easing which will drive all hot money that is ...

My northbound train ticket have been bought but I'm just playing with winnings from my existing AUD/USD longs. I just hope the bear train doesn't overshoot too much.

I am surprised the retracement wasn't enough to hit my buy orders @40/20/00. Oh well, so much for my hopes for position building this week.

I'll be damned if Merkel decides to turn up to the party uninvited and messes up my profits from EUR/AUD and EUR/NZD. On a side note: Pretty great thread you got going on here Daddybear. Nice blend of serious analysis and a good dose of ...

You should consider playing the EUR/NZD as well. Been selling every rally of the EUR/AUD and EUR/NZD last week all while avoiding every USD pair except USD/JPY and AUD/USD, paying off very well not to mention the I/R differential... Yum.

My understanding of the framework of ESM and EFSF after reading through countless of drafts/articles/reports is that it was all covered within the clause, nothing new or groundbreaking. So I assume traders who have been keeping up with European news ...

I've posted a fundmental analysis on why the AUD will be strong and bullish in the upcoming months weeks back. Go take a look. Most here were still screaming short the AUD which would be valid if they do intraday. As for the long term vs short term, ...

Great. At least you know when to cover when proven wrong. I am still very much an AUD bull til the markets prove me wrong and have my defensive measures in place. Still smooth sailing for me thus far.

Just dropped in to say hi and enjoy your trading! I have been on a pretty long break as the recent markets have been moving very slow. Totally dumped intraday trading and just let my position trades run. Will probably be back when there are news ...

Would be great if you could post some charts about them and good points to look at. As I am still learning the technical parts from books, I find it hard to apply it to charts and could use some guidance.

You would have to look at the major trading partners of the particular country as well as the key driver of their economy. So in the case of Australia, they rely on their exports for growth, Australia exports roughly 24% of their goods to China and ...

This thread is maturing really well. As a fundie boy, I am still cutting any mid to long term exposure to the EUR/USD pair and I still highly recommend people hopping on board the sell EUR against any risk currency trade. Fundie trade of the day, ...
