They have their own API for indicators and experts. Some things are a little similar to MetaTrader, some aren't. Here's what I've been doing with it. I use Alpari data and built my simulation around it. I load the same data into metatrader, open an ...

I did test both out. I'm actually quite a tight-wad, as my wife and kids know. So, before I plunk money down on anything, I do exhaustive searches and evaluation. I looked at this one and didn't like it primarily because it did not support pending ...

Justin, I'd like to make a suggestion that I don't think will go anywhere, but, I hope it does. I believe that EFX Group has a great opportunity in this market. However, I think you really, really need to re-evaluate your pricing structure. I don't ...

Order Question — I never received a response to my emailed question, so, perhaps I'll get a response here. I placed an order on the EURUSD 2 days ago. At the time, I used a stop limit sell order. My price was 43 on the stop and 39 or so on the ...

I've diversified my brokerage risk by spreading accounts across multiple brokers, not within a single broker. If one of my brokers goes down, then, I can use another for my trading. Also, each of my brokers has a different strength, I find. So, for ...

All, Keep in mind that the 2.1 EA has a calculation error in it. So, it doesn't always align with the charts. The reason I keep it around is because whatever it's doing on the calculation seems to make it more profitable than the correctly ...

Steve, Kumusta ka. You can keep asking. One thing that might be helpful, though, is to post the time of your chart. I see that there's is 600 minutes left, which means that 800 minutes have expired in the bar? It's hard to say if the crossing had ...

Just off the top of my head, you could use a loop to go back and get the rsi for each if the last x time periods. If RSI for any of the given time periods is greater than 50, set a var and end the loop. Otherwise, return true.

A1, Which EA version are you running? If you are running version 2.1, then trades placed cannot be visually confirmed. The calculation does not match up correctly. The reason I still support is because, frankly, it performs better in forward and ...

Palmer - it depends on how you code your EA. If you code your EA to only check for crosses on the close of a bar or at a specific time, then trades should only happen then and not during the bar. Strategy Tester will honor whatever logic you have in ...

Well, that's why I asked when this all happened. IBFX may have closed early as well. Since I don't have any other info other than this occurred last week, I'm afraid I don't have any ideas for you. Why not contact them and ask why via chat? Then, ...

I had identical results on version 2.1 as well. 20% return, about 80% profitability (I think it was slightly higher.) This is fairly consistent with the backtesting results as well. I may let the market settle a bit before jumping into my live ...

Actually, an ECN in forex is an Electronic Currency Network. It is a pseudo equivalent of the ECN's traders are familiar with in the stock markets.

Mr. Smith is correct. There are only 3 brokers that claim to be ECN's with any validity, as far as I know - 1) CoesFX (going under), 2) MB Trading/EFX Group and 3) Interactive Brokers. IBFX claims to have STP, but, that has been debunked for some ...

Neither, either, and both. They both have their advantages and disadvantages. But, it depends on the type of trading system you use. If you trade long term, then, variable might be a great option since you can get good narrow trades and have ...
