Don't worry Eval, there's quite a few people here, myself included, who are giving this idea a thorough test & learning how to trade it and whether or not it works. All that matters is whether this is a profitable method or not & that can only be ...

Just to illustrate, here's an M30 chart of AU recently, which has traded in a range & thus had numerous reversal patterns. While they all have subtle differences, each reversal showed distinct Wyckoff characteristics, especially the "test" to ...

For me the spreads are the same - negligible, as I'm on an ECN account where I pay a commission proportional to order size. I've always traded USDCHF, old habit I guess. Yeah the duplication makes it pretty redundant, you're right I should really ...

Yep, I'm also short EU, plus GU and long on USDCHF. All SAFT trades. Was short on XAUUSD as well, but it kicked back & stopped me out. EURAUD has run an awful long way without correction lately, is worth watching... Edit: Market is wary about moving ...

Haha I don't mind really, if the price of well-informed and helpful posts/charts is looking at the occasional bright green background, I'm prepared to pay it

Just because time has passed doesn't mean markets trade differently. The same factors (support and resistance zones coupled with the big money shaking out weak holders before starting a move) apply just as much now as they did then. To just dismiss ...

Thanks everyone for your replies! Eval, I've been purposefully testing by trading it purely mechanically to see what would happen, as if I were an EA. From what you're saying, discretion is obviously required to take into account (a) sessions and ...

Hi Zack - I see no trendlines on your chart, no OBV either but a Stoch & a no-lag MA. Whatever method you're trading it doesn't appear to be SAFT? I've attached two charts below - EU and AU today. Both had costly false breaks. If anyone can tell me ...

Just after I finished that post, the market turned again. Add to today's losses another 4 stop hits due to a new false breaks on EU, AU, EURGBP and USDGBP. I can throw up plenty of charts if you like, there's no shortage of examples to ponder here.

Hi Eval, thanks for responding. Please understand that I'm not criticising your system at all, just reporting my experience of it which has been a case of good days (Friday and Tuesday) interspersed with bad (Monday and today), with the bad ...

I like the simplicity of this method, but false breaks are a killer. Today I've had 9 losses and 1 win, enough to plunge my week-long trial trading this method deeply into the red (on demo fortunately!). Every trade was a valid SAFT entry, and the ...

It could also be a function of flaws in the OBV indicator itself - I've often seen it diverge from price movements for no apparent reason and with no later validation that it was right to do so. In this article in 2004: url the idea for an ...

Just thought I'd point out that the Gadi OBV has a divide by zero error that occurs when a bar doesn't move (same high as low). That's why on some charts it appears blank. For me that's happening right now on EURGBP H1, on other charts its working ...

I really like the concept behind this method, congrats Evaluator & thanks for sharing it. I'll also be trading this on a demo & am keen to see how it works out. Just wanted to comment on the introduction of MAs & trading crosses of them rather than ...

This may have nothing to do with the problem, but I always had issues with Mt4 when installed under Program Files, which Pepperstone's wants to do by default, due to the security Windows puts on that directory and its sub-directories.

Razor - tiny spread with a commission, Standard - good spreads, no commission. Depends on the timeframe and frequency of your trading style. I guess a scalper would prefer the Razor, but a long TF swing trader would be happy on Standard.

Price is currently in a bull rectangle or flag, where it consolidates sideways after a strong rise. You can also see bear rectangles after a fall. Usually they're continuation patterns, breaking out in the direction in which they entered - in this ...

Hi everyone, nice thread you've got here - I just discovered it from a comment by Winston in a chatroom. I've attached a chart showing my AU position as a Wedge/Wolfe Wave trader.
