snarlyjack replied Feb 21, 2015Wnabo, I've been back testing the s/d indicator today. All default settings. It looks to me that price is going from box to box. It might take price awhile to meander their but it get's their. (I like it)! sj

snarlyjack replied Feb 21, 2015Rnsrd, We have the same problem. Trading the London session is the best but if you can't that, changes things a bit. What I've had to do is really rely on the daily chart. The more in tune you are with the daily the better. sj

snarlyjack replied Feb 21, 2015FrankO, Thank you. I like your rules! If I were to add one thing it would be a pin-bar setup. Their are some price action setup's that work very good but will signal different than the tdi. Being that their are some really good price action traders ...

snarlyjack replied Feb 20, 2015Emmanuel, I just had a thought. Did Eelfranz look at the higher time frame (daily chart) or did he just trade off of the 4 hour chart without any regard to the daily chart? I know he looked at the 1 hour chart for exit's in the N/Y session. But I ...

snarlyjack replied Feb 20, 2015Kreuzritterq, That looks perfect! If I could make one suggestion it would be to load up the supply/demand indicator (in paperclip on the top of this page). This will give you some pretty accurate targets to aim for. Check out Lastingwell's comments ...

snarlyjack replied Feb 20, 2015TheScorpS, I would say that is perfect! I do exactly the same thing only on the 4 hour. As you can tell 8 years later I still fool around with my system. I really think it helps to look at other traders set-ups. sj

snarlyjack replied Feb 20, 2015Lastingwell, Your not using trend at all (moving averages), just going from s/d box to box? I've made a ton of money on the 4 hour & daily charts & I never set a take profit. The pairs you trade have the highest ATR numbers? So no eur/usd or usd/jpy ...

snarlyjack replied Feb 20, 2015Rnsfrd, I agree with you. I've always done much better with the long term charts (4 hour & daily). I think the daily is the most accurate & place a lot of trades just using it. Living where I do is it very hard to trade the shorter time frames ...
