Presumably you are one of these no rate hike, QE4 around the corner types lol. It's not a contrarian position anymore when everyone and their dog thinks rate hikes aren't going to happen. No bet from me till the rate hike comes.

I'm pretty sure they are gonna hike the rate no matter what. The only thing that will stop them is if it looks like we are heading towards another recession. Moreover I wouldn't be at all surprised to see a rate hike this month.

Yes, that is the relationship between yield and price. The drop in current price will affect the new issues price as well (whenever that happens), but the price they are usually talking about is the fluctuation in existing bond prices yes.

A reverse head and shoulders in yield would mean a normal head a shoulders in bond prices. As traders we don't trade yield we trade face value price of the bond, so it is bearish for anyone trading bond prices.

Sorry to hear that. However you choose an ECN broker, they just can't close positions, they have to access the market and when they can't there is nothing they can do.
