But what fun is that?
No, you're right... besides, if I don't have anything open, I can sleep in in the morning.EURUSD

I'm thinking about opening a tiny position (micro lot) just for fun... probably a short. If NFP is a major + then it'll be fun to watch it run... if not, oh well.

EUR/USD really going wild these past 6 hours, eh... a massive, massive 15 pip range.

[quote=fxtyrant;8180234] precisely. this move up has no fundamental backing, no news no nothing. just big boys doing their thing right before London open./quote] Thanks for that, because it confirms what I was thinking. Me still being new to this, ...

Yeah, 1:50 max leverage here.... and I don't think I'd go higher than that even if I could. (Even my "gradual but consistent" style can be a little stressing at times... don't need anything on top of that.

Yeah, must be nice huh?!
My trade sizes are based on a % of my account balance, and if my calculations are right, I've got a WAYS to go before I'm trading 100 lots at a time. Like... when my account reaches around $1M! (Looking forward to it!)EURUSD

That's my calculation too... I was going like "Huh?" But either way it's pretty brilliant whoever it is. If my name and the word "millions" (let alone "billions") is ever mentioned here in the same breath, I'll be a very happy person.

I've got mine set to double-click. I know lots of people use single, but NO WAY. Actually if there was a "double-click, pause one second, then another double-click" option, I'd probably go with that!

Yeah, I've only been in this a few months... small account size, small trades... and even though I've messed up a lot, I haven't been wiped out. Still in it, though not yet making consistent profits. BUT I'm learning! I think I started at just the ...

Just for me personally, I find trading the news hard to resist (although I manage to stay out most of the time). Most of my trades are scalps, and when I see some big news event coming up, this is what goes through my mind: "Hmm, I can make as much ...

Wow, I guess I understand the move up, but I expected it to stall out real quick and then start down. But then just now there's another 40 or so point move up. (And no I'm NOT in a trade right now, but still shaking my head.)

Hope you're right. I was kinda thinking the same thing, but I was afraid to assume anything just in case it WASN'T a joke. But yeah, if he's for real... kind of a textbook case, eh?

Yeah, the couple of times I've come close have been on events like this. And I can't imagine just sitting and allowing a margin call to happen, when you're right there watching. I mean for me, when it even got CLOSE to one, I manually closed the ...

Dude, if you just started SLOW and SMALL, instead of trying to hit it big on one or two trades you'd be fine. That way even if you were wrong many times in a row, you'd still be in the game.

I'm kinda curious to know what people expect with regard to the potential strength of the move either direction. I mean, if it's a YES for rate hike, and that is expected to cause a potential drop of X pips... would a NO for rate hike mean a ...
