JeremyWS replied Apr 9, 2012this move was primarily Short cover / repositioning ahead of ben's speech. I suspect that Ben will be no different to before and expect USD to be bid up. I am still expecting 1.300 to be tested this week. either way this retrace is healthy.

JeremyWS replied Apr 8, 2012No, this time will be very different to the previous wars in iraq/afghan. The VERY fragile global economic system means highly exacerbated moves to safety and USD will benefit. CHF may have lost its status through sentiments of SNB. we will see.

JeremyWS replied Apr 8, 2012I think to use this tool to its best ability is to use like CoT change it to net and you can see where the action will happen. I like the Net Sell (could be sell stops could be stop losses) under 1.200 and above 1.18, heavy selling on a big break.

JeremyWS replied Apr 8, 2012Yeah that's really good, However that is primarily retailers so won't make a difference in price but shows same sort of data as the interbankers would. Very useful for trading.

JeremyWS replied Apr 8, 2012Thats from the view of brokers. Whats more impressive is that you will ignore real life scenarios and fight for one bullet point of wikipedia. Wake up! Plus some brokers allow you to trade over weekends i.e. Oanda, however spreads are horrendous and ...

JeremyWS replied Apr 8, 2012I hate to say that you clearly don't understand. Currency is currency. If you wanted to you could take delivery of the euros you trade with your broker (if you've a good one) but the contracts are usually rolledover (rollover with brokers) so that ...

JeremyWS replied Apr 7, 2012Spread widening. thats probably the ask price not bid. SNB will defend the peg and even on monday if it falls they will still be there to sell francs. (they've said so). Plus the fx markets DONT close, just volumes plummet over the weekend.

JeremyWS replied Apr 6, 2012I just bought some EURCHF at 1.2010. Gonna hold until SNB act. I believe that they will intervene to push EURCHF to 1.23/5 to relieve pressure on 1.20. They could do this as early as Tuesday. Plus there is positive swap so not going to hurt to hold.
