^^^ Exactly! I'm using that Damiani indicator the same way. It doesn't tell me entries/exits but helps to confirm the other indicators and analysis. It helps me to better time my moves and stay away from short-lived "fakeouts".

Coral is probably closest to a 60 MA. During ranging markets the Coral becomes almost irrelevant. During trending markets long moves tend to be stronger than short moves if price is above the Coral...and vice versa. By the way, Evernote is awesome ...

I simply wait until price breaks 8pips or so through the moving average and then use the 5EMA (shift 3) as a trailing stop loss...works well on 1hr charts.

Bill Dunn is one of my heros because he has a great track record in systematic trading. As for systems, I'm biased THV/Pipware with Fractals as support/resistance and Damiani Volatmeter to weed out fake signals, works great...look up the threads.

Babypips After that go to the trade systems forum on here and read up about various systems. Most system threads explain indicators used and after a while you'll figure out which ones you like... Do a LOT of back testing...2k bars+
