Its different for every broker. I use mbt and alpari for the charts, so every 2 hours i have a 4h close.

No, i look at the possible SL and TP. If i look for a long trade, the SL will be below last swing low/SR point. The TP will be AT the last swing high/SR point. IF sl and tp are not around 1:1 i didn't took the trade. I know i miss nice trades of ...

It depends on the chart: SR/last hi-low/TDI flat/cross. TP will hit more often than the SL. But i am conservative so very often move SL to BE after several pips. And took often some profit of the table.

Just took it. SL above red line. TP last swing low.

Thats right. We have less trades, most of the time bigger SL and TP in pips, so yes, with a small account the 1h tf looks better. But thats not the way i look, i feel a lot more comfortable with the 4tf beacause you have more time to check if the ...

Both tf work, but i think the 1tf is much harder because of the speed. At the moment i prefer 4h tf, less lagging.

If this was the start of the second candle with a little better cross (12-1) it would be a possible setup. Now its the third so it would be a pass.

If you not refresh your charts (move to other tf) the TDI will nog change, only when a new candle forms. That is what i thought, maybe i am wrong.

- Thierry replied Jun 21, 2011
If you use the TDI that bigE use, we enter at the start of the first or second candle. The tdi only moves when a new candle forms, so when we have a cross, automaticaly a new bar forms. So i always wait for a new candle, and if we have a cross i ...

Yes, why not
ive seen more good signals that blow the SR away, but i'm always aware of SR. Gbp jpy is a nice one, if this candle close above 130, it is a great trade.Trading Made Simple
- Thierry replied Jun 20, 2011
The first chart you are trading into a SR level. I also wait for a break in that case. Second chart, be cafefull of the last swing lows.
