As far as my understanding goes, I don't think the the HH HL etc in orange and the red line etc are relevant, the white ones are all that you need. If you go to higher TFs or go back too much in the 5M chart, you are going to have lot of such ...

Hi Div, My thinking was the left arrow showed a higher low which was broken and price could not take out the right arrow the higher high, so I assumed a downtrend. am slightly confused here.

Thanks for the reply. Regarding the 755 GMT signal, since the horizontal level was broken, wasn't there a potential trend change with the arrow showing the higher low that was broken?

Hi Div, Came close to stopping out on this one but was able to close out at break-even. Am curious to know what you would have done in this situation. Did I do something wrong?

We are still in an uptrend but you would not find enough momentum at this time. For Asian session, better stop trading at 130 GMT.

Div, If there is no news at 8:30, do you still stick to the 1400-1700 time window or u start looking for potential trades at 1300?

Yes it would have been if I had placed the stop below the pullback but it was more than 30 odd pip stop and so I used a 26-pip stop and got stopped out. No worries, have not had too many of those so far.

Thanks Div, agreed that there were many long setups before that and shouldnt have taken it but was the time wrong, it was 1600 GMT. Am I missing something?

I don't think there was anything wrong with the entry but let us wait for Div to comment. As FS said losses happen and it is easy to give thousand different reasons after the fact.
