Tried a reversal trade but stopped out for 20 pips I could have easily profit locked that. Should I have done that? I think yes.

When you say all sync, I don't think you mean all averages in all the time frames should show the exact same crosses. Because when we have green-yellow cross on 15m but red cross is still pending, then 15 minutes is consolidating and ready to move ...
