Firstly i said about each trade, not trades. Secondly 5% means you would have 95% back up to hold some position, and if your trade goes wrong, rather cancelling it or hitting stops hedging is best option. And for hedging a back up is very necessary, ...

You are Absolutely right, but controlling your emotions and discipline can serve the cause. Traders must not risk more than 5% of the equity on each trade than probability of never loosing will definitely increase.
