I have the same thoughts as to consolidation. What I started doing tonight is judge each chart in the hour leading up to the open. If there is no consolidation, take the EA off. Can always put it back on later in the day. For instance, I disabled ...

There does need to be a minimum SL over ride added. FWIW, the demos I have running with an extended buffer are far outperforming the ones OOTB. Thus, I think the consecutive tick idea that GG put forth has a lot of merit. Now, it has outperformed on ...

I have noticed and have yet to figure out the small stop loss. I know why the "wrong" second trade. There was an initial short trade, the one with the small stop loss. When the OBV indi later breaks the high of the Asian session range it takes the ...

You can use the same magic numbers across pairs. But you can not use the same magic number across multiple EAs or more than one instance of a specific pair. So for example, you can use the same MN on 1 hr charts but to run the EA on the same pairs ...

I have the EA running different config on 4 demos and 1 live account (small size test). I have not experienced what you have described at all. Is this on live or demo accounts?

Imaxi, When you get a chance can you add an external parameter for magic number to the EA?

I am going to run parallel tests on widening the boundaries and see what the results are. By no means do I think it will be the optimal solution, and "false" entries can occur with any automated EA triggered from indicators. I am lookng to see if it ...

I agree with what you are saying. My point was to make the risk % a user defined variable. I personally risk 2% per trade, but everyone has different risk tolerances. I spoke with imaxi today about this and sent him some code to look at.

[QUOTE=whydak;6633053]Hi, I am trying to do some tests of this EA. On demo account I have balance 5000USD, I set the same in EA and lot size to 0.1. When running EA I got message not enough balance. Do you have the same issue ? Maybe there is ...

Once the OBV range from the Asian session has been traded once, to me it is no longer a valid range. Perhaps limit it to one buy and one sell in case of a hard reversal.

I would also have an option for the EA to stop trading the consolodation range from the Asian session once the initial trade closes. I am not sure how it is currently configured. If it comes back into the range and breaks out agian, does it take the ...

Adding risk based lot sizing will also increase performance if the hit rate stays high. Thus risking .5% or 1% per trade instead of a set lot size. Just my .02 The amount I would risk would depend on the number of pairs being traded. Keep it to a ...

Here is the 15min results. The loss on gbpusd was due to a very late entry as for some reason i did not have that pair running. Had the trade been taken in a timely fashion it was a winner. The EURJPY trade was a touch and go. A wider tolerance ...

Take a look at the eurjpy example I posted. I have the take profit ratio set to true (testing right out of the box). BUY eurjpy 129.639 SL 129.118 TP 130.074 The ratio is not quite 1:1 let alone 2:1.

The .G needs to be taken account of in every EA. your broker should be tarred and feathered for being such a pain in the azz. Unless they change that crap, I would change brokers. You will run into this problem all the time. Or, research on the net ...

Ok. I see where the SL is derived from. I thought it was 10pips automatically from the parameters. However, the TP figures do not match based on the multiple of the SL. Or am I missing something. This is a situation that can cause problems, IMO. You ...
