What's worse is that the from the looks of it, it's not finished with the downtrend yet because it broke support lines and stayed under these lines!

What's the big deal about these banks losing money? Haven't we seen worse news about US banks losing billions and billions? No reason to send euro down still. I am not holding any positions, but just puzzled why it's gone down when all the analysts ...

It's most likely a sell off of euro by some large bank because USD hasn't moved up against other major currencies. So it's not a strengthening of the USD. Maybe that means euro will move back up once the dust settles.

The general consensus is that the news from the US will be bad, but we might get surprised. Besides how much of the bad news has already been factored in the price already?

That's what the forecast said yesterday also - that the pair would go up, but so far it has not worked out that way. It's largely directionless in very tight range. I just don't know how much of the US consumer confidence and interest rate cut have ...

Yeah, that is a bit odd. Always thought eur/usd and usd/chf are cross pairs. If your analysis is correct, which is more and more like you are, that means eur/chf is going very long.

What is your reasoning behind this? How far down do you expect swissy to go?

USDCHF — I was referring to USDCHF pair since this is a USD/CHF analysis thread. Wasn't paying attention to the euro analysis. Sorry. Anyway usdchf is turning up a bit instead of going down. Just a slight correction?

So far haven't seen the bearish trend in action yet. If anything, it's turned a bit upward. Japanese market is closed today for holiday.
