Mine does it too, and actually more like 3 minutes. If it wasn't for the fact that I like everything else about my broker, yeah... this can be pretty aggravating at times.

I closed when the spread was about 5 or 6. That's much higher than I normally like to go, but I was afraid to wait any longer (like you say, it MIGHT head back up).

Yeah, unfortunately my open short had been underwater for awhile so I didn't do as well on the huge move as I could have. But FORTUNATELY we DID get the huge move, so since I went from a big negative to around a 40-pip gain a few seconds later... ...

Well, I've got a small-size short that's been underwater for awhile now, and I've so far resisted the temptation to close it.... and that's because I'm confident price is coming back down. Of course I could turn out to be wrong and wind up losing ...
