Ferru, I think there's a problem with the ma filter. I tested hourly data for the first two months of this year and without the filter it takes 72 trades. With a 50 sma filter it takes 75 trades. Surely it should take less trades?!

Just woken up to find this. Surely it should have cancelled the pending order already when it reached the 0.75 retrace level?

10% on multiple positions as a rule of thumb but it depends on the system, strike rate, etc.

On the closed candle. If the candle closes below the 100 sma with momentum (the 75% ATR real body tells us this) then it's a good sign it may continue the next day. The 38.2% retrace might even be back to the sma.

Ok, here's one possible improvement. Only take shorts when below the 100 sma and only take longs when above. This would reduce the amount of trades by half but might help things on the lower timeframes. Ferru, could you code that as an option into ...

So you're going to take 13 trades as a representative sample? I have backtested this over all pairs with as much data as available and get different results to you. This is the sort of strategy where the OP requests the thread to be deleted, enough ...

This is something we need to test to find out which works best but I would think to use the highest pullback candle in a downtrend (the red arrow) would be best. Keep moving the pending order up until you are stopped in or the setup is invalidated.
