the_wizard replied Sep 6, 2007When price keeps hammering at a resistance like the Euro is with 3670, I think eventually the chances become high it will give way forcefully. The fake out last week resulted in price coming back to trade beneath this resistance but the hourly time ...

the_wizard replied Sep 6, 2007Great entry Seeking and very close to mine. When I looked at that Gold chart with Jim's ppz's in mind it felt clear as day that if $675 went, then we would see $680 and then $688. Infact, the only thing that was unpredictable, imo, about that move ...

the_wizard replied Sep 6, 2007LOL According to Felix, MBTrading is the only safe broker to trade with. EVERY OTHER BROKER could be involved with market manipulation. OK, Felix. Wonder if he gets commission when new users sign up?

the_wizard replied Sep 6, 2007TBL can always be played as a trend continuation but beware of where it comes in the trend. That last candle resembles a hammer/pin - so presuming the formation holds, you could play it long on a break above the high of that on the next 4hr chart.

the_wizard replied Sep 5, 2007The feeds are often wildy out - I am not sure why. One reason that was offered (when the S&P was quoted a full 700 points from the underlying) is that the prices are derived from the average of the best bid and offer, plus the spread - if one of the ...

the_wizard replied Sep 5, 2007Hi Seeking, I closed at $682 because I wasn't convinced that $680 was going to hold. I think we may well have a go at $688 but I expect a return to $675 first.

the_wizard replied Sep 5, 2007zzz - this is not an example of how brokers make money it's simply an error in their data feed. If you spreadbet you can often make large amounts of money trading these spikes. I have made several thousand doing this and I was allowed to keep most ...

the_wizard replied Sep 5, 2007I agree with acapulco - if you show most people some success they are often willing to back you. I started trading properly (rather than just picking markets at random) about two years ago. It was all I wanted to do and all I talked about. I guess I ...

the_wizard replied Sep 4, 2007I agree with Mike on this last part. PA can and does work beautifully in choppy markets but I have found you have to adapt your trading style somewhat e.g. taking profits at predefined targets rather than trailing. Profitable movements in markets ...
