ghous replied Apr 17, 2013hey Sonic, Nice to see you dropping by bro.
More pairs means more setups and what we teach here is that that should lead to one being more picky and selective with the trades. A good pin bar indicating a nice story knows not what pair its on.

ghous replied Apr 15, 2013Well done Martin. Nice but a tricky setup based on the lack of space. A good example of how stronger aspects of the story (swing high round number good size) can be weighed against the defeciencies (traffic) to make up for a tradable setup. That ...

ghous replied Apr 8, 2013hey Stephen, The body shouldn't beat the LLS, and in this case it didn't. It still closed (only just) within the low of the SFP. Also while its not uncommon to see bars retrace 30%-40% of the range of the prior bar, it really depends very strongly ...

ghous replied Apr 7, 2013hey kenny, If the pin bar had closed within the box, then yes, the consolidation box high would make for a first trouble area. g.

ghous replied Apr 7, 2013Hey Kenny, While Mike's away, here's my perspective: The EUR/CAD BUOB is loaded with supporting confluence. The rising trend line, the 1.3 BRN and a strong looking bar itself engulfing more than a week of price action. The bars it engulfs doesn't ...

ghous replied Apr 6, 2013These days I am head first into some real R&D projects. I am desperately looking to find a solution to the "soft stop" problem pertaining to exiting my SFP trades only when price closes above the high of a bearish SFP and below the low of a bullish ...

ghous replied Apr 6, 2013Yeah I can't get HCR/LCS levels out of my head. Don't want to either.
They have helped me countless times in forming the bigger picture. They may not be a part of my method but still are a crucial component of my chart reading tools.

ghous replied Apr 6, 2013The divergence paid off! It was a rather dodgy setup and I was expecting it to play some tricks but the NFP boost helped it work really well.

ghous replied Apr 5, 2013Yes it is, for a multitude of already discussed reasons. I was merely pointing out at the implicit divergence. One of the few factors in favor of it. g.

ghous replied Apr 5, 2013That is a great question Dervel!
I don't trade Jarroo's PBT method so I am always on the lookout for price reversing at swing points via SFPs rather than break out of them. When I started off experimenting with SFPs I was actually trading the ...james16 Chart Thread

ghous replied Apr 5, 2013hey J, I use the term implicit divergence to spot trend weakness directly from the chart. Price seems to be headed in the direction of the current movement but gets consistently beaten by prior bar lows (in case of a downtrend and bullish implicit ...

ghous replied Apr 5, 2013Reiterating from my last post: Its instinctive to want get carried away and start seeing them all over the place connecting any bar wick with any swing point to make up a trade setup. This is still a very legitimate extension of the James16 basics ...

ghous replied Apr 5, 2013Entrance? Heck no! lol I said I'll be watching this one, not trading it. Taking a trade straight back into a close by FTA and a consolidation box, on an NFP Friday - No thank you. lol What I meant was, that since this is one of the tricky ones, its ...

ghous replied Apr 4, 2013Hey Ping, that's an SFP oright, and I can see some implicit divergence building up too however, notice how its heading straight back into a consolidation box and a very close by FTA. These are among the trickier setups as opposed to the no brainers. ...
