blueruby replied May 13, 2007Definitely not on there... I think the rectangles were on your chart when you saved the template, so they're on mine as well, saved as objects in the template. It won't keep making them w/o the indicator. Thanks

blueruby replied May 13, 2007FXS, thanks for sharing. Looks interesting. What's making those rectangles on my chart? The indicator isn't on the list for the chart.

blueruby replied May 12, 2007Sounds like your April went a lot like my March. I did a lot of the same things, just a few weeks ahead of you. When I saw you post the solution which included "higher leverage" I winced. My $300 account is at $128 now. For April I broke even, which ...

blueruby replied May 10, 2007By hand only works if you're trading closed candles. You don't know what the MA's did on price action during a bar.
Would someone please help me with writing a strategy?

blueruby replied May 7, 2007Trading Plan — A trading buddy sent me a word.doc of a trading plan a month or so ago. Very detailed, it is an offshoot of the one by Tim Wilcox. I didn't finish it, there were too many hard questions and I didn't see the relevance of many of ...

blueruby replied May 6, 2007No. Raw stochastic is %K and there is NO MA in the calculation. You then take an MA of %K to smooth it. There is NO MA OF PRICE. Wrong again. See attached chart with 50 SMA and 50 period momentum. There are lots of places where the MA slope ...

blueruby replied May 4, 2007However you want to picture them, or whatever scale you use is fine. The question was, what's in between? The only point was that matter is mostly not there.

blueruby replied May 3, 2007Existence of matter — If one were to make a scale model of an atom it would be something like (someone with actual knowledge of the subject correct me if I'm way off) this: The nucleus would be a golfball on the 50 yard line; the electrons ...

blueruby replied May 3, 2007Indicators and MA's — You're absolutely right. Most people do not understand indicators. This is most true as pertains to those that say they're all based on MA's. I hate to be a @##^& troll, but that's one thing that irks me, and the ones who ...

blueruby replied May 3, 2007I agree with you completely. And, I didn't tell the whole story. My friend the pro says that indicators, fibs, support/resistance, etc.... merely give you DECISION POINTS. Then price action and candlesticks tell you what to do there.

blueruby replied May 3, 2007Pay to learn — I think paying to learn is a smart thing to do, not lazy. A trader has to get training, however.... Forex is a popular thing these days. A lot of people are attracted to this market, and therefore, so are a lot of ripoffs. ...

Transition from Losing to Winning

blueruby replied May 2, 2007I'm sure you're right on all counts. Everyone gets to their own system in time. I have to wonder why your win rate is where it is; I would have to assume that when you get a win with your system it's a really big one? That might not work for me, I ...
