It's an interesting idea but I'm with you, I don't think it will work in the long term.

The short answer is no, not completely finalised the rules but I believe we have a solid foundation. Good to have a trader of your calibre see some merit in it though!

Sometimes getting to break even can actually be detrimental to your profitability. You will take more losers by letting your trades either hit the stop or the take profit but you will never be stopped out at break even on a trade that would have ...

Since I've used a different broker I will never go back to Alpari whatever they say. Just my opinion though.
Best broker for my needs?

I'll answer you in PM but to anyone else reading I wouldn't recommend trading with Alpari. Their spreads are definitely not the most competitive and neither is their execution. Maybe the mt5 account will be different but I'm happy with who I am ...

Ok, good answer. Not sure about your stops bit though, some of the donch channel testing I have done suggests that an initial stop of just 0.5 ATR can be the most profitable on some pairs.

Nice thread and I am interested in following this. I am ardently back and forward testing Donchian channels at the moment. I know they work and work really well with the right parameters but I am trying to achieve the best parameters without curve ...

I don't trade H4 anymore. I changed brokers to one with a different candle open time and realised I was opening trades at a time of day dictated by my broker?! One of my 4 hour candles closes at 1pm gmt, 30 minutes before most big news ...
