depends on the volatility - more volatile times and you can have a bigger sl but a smaller pos. size - but at "normal" times - any more than 15 or so and it's going wrong

yeah - need to get in quick at a good level - then if it goes against you a little bit you can take a small loss - instead of a big one - it's about identifying where you would be "wrong" - getting in late means you could still be right and 30 pips ...
