This pair is getting very uncertain. I'm not over-leveraged. My shorts are small & some short closed by SL and I closed the other manually as I fear just before SNB meeting, things can work out both ways. It can drop drastically or rise depending on ...

I lost some amount on shorts. Luckily got SL around 1.2120.... Now I've closed all my positions both long & shorts. Waiting for a drop again to reload. SNB's meeting may be a blessing as if "utmost determination" is still uttered with no decision to ...

I hope to reload too, but now we cannot forecast what may happen. There are so many unexpected volatility and rumors causing unforeseen movements. Again recall that the last 4 SNB meetings since Dec 2011 show absolutely different trends/patterns : ...

Arghh! I'm a little short.... Just a few hours ago. But I'm going to open a little more short positions now. What do you guys think? After market digestion, will it continue to drop? or more banks will follow suit these few days?

Yes, 1.2030 is a strong support. I like your idea to long at 1.2035, although smaller lots for me there first. 1.2020 is too far off. But as SNB's meeting is near, I don't know what to expect yet.

Yes, drop in sight deposits, Eurozone is gaining back investor confidence - Greece is getting their money, Spain is still ok. Moody's downgrade of ESM/EFSF has no effect at all on EUR. Investors don't bother! EURCHF is still tracing EURUSD. EUR is ...

Utmost determination again, huh?..... There's a confirmed recession going on here in EZ. I think this peg will last for a long long time until EZ recovers in, say, 3 yrs time?

I'll start to open long from 1.2020. I believe the pair will soon be back down to 1.2010 levels given Greece's problems, even if the bailout package goes thru. Then we have Spain to watch. Well, when any member state of EZ is in trouble, all hell ...

A very very slow downtrend towards the floor. The daily chart broke thru 100day EMA, testing the 100d SMA. The 1.2050s is a hard psychological support to break thru I think. Oanda's statistics show many new open long positions from here 1.2050 to ...

Lifting the peg to 1.30 for example? As a central bank, SNB cannot do much. Unlike the government (Finance Ministry), they can only manipulate the currency for price stability, and to 'help the economy' the only thing they can do is to counter the ...

1.2060 seems to be a strong support. Next is 1.2050. Anyone has got Fib projections?

Not what I'm expecting (the unloading)...... But EZ crisis is still there & will persist for some time (quote"Merkel: Euro debt crisis will last at least five more years") - so just wait for more inflows into CHF to strengthen it to a level we can ...

Yeah it happened in all other CHF pairs. Stealth intervention by SNB to kill the shorts?

I give the same trust to HKMA as I give to SNB. I may not be right, but I think it is an exact scenario of EURCHF trading. Got a small amount in it & willing to wait for months, the same thing I did with EURCHF.

When? — Any idea when? I've been waiting since 5th Sept. Waiting to reload long EURCHF. While waiting i'm playing long USDHKD now... same thing like EURCHF.

Cannot really tell whether CHF has depreciated against the overall basket of many various currencies SNB is holding now, including exotic ones like Singapore Dollar, that make their reserves rise. Cannot also tell whether SNB is buying any more EURs ...

It may be a painful slow creeping back down with intermittent spike ups as I do see potential funds inflow back to Swiss from EZ countries again. But I guess we'll have to wait another 45 days till next SNB's Dec 14th meeting to see some spike down. ...

Hard to tell SNB's next move from here - now it seems that they are focusing a lot on the property 'bubble'. This may weigh a lot for their next monetary policy decision coming this mid-Dec.
