Hi ASM8086, You might try the fractal dimension indicator. There are a few around. I think the latest is FGDI attached. The problem with this indicator is that it requires a large block of data to do a reasonable job, so it's slow. You might try to ...

Diurnal Volume for GBPUSD H1 — Ah, what the heck. I'll attach it anyway. Maybe someone will have an interest. This is from MBT, a large ECN. The diurnal variation in volume is very clear. If you are trading during only one hour, it will have ...

Diurnal volume variation — I also have read most of this thread, and am curious about many of the images showing M15 time frame graphs. They do not seem to have the type of volume that I see on my live ECN account. It is pretty clear that the ...

IB probably has more liquidity, but they also require min lots 2.5, do not trade mini's, and discourage short term trades. They are set up for position traders.

Commissions and spreads — I guess that I don't understand the mb commission structure. I thought that for USD based pairs the commission was 0.5 pips one way, or 1 pip round trip. But you save typically several pips on the spread (one way) ...

Is the demo MT4 a good test platform? — Justin.. You might add the fact that an ECN does not accept hedges. Many EA's running on MT4 overlap trades in opposite directions. Users may not recognize this as a hedge, but an ECN will close one ...
