Jasus replied Jun 26, 2011The model for me is not important, I'll only be using one assumption of the Black-Scholes model - prices follow a log-normal distribution. Maybe a best thing to do is to verify if this really happens, and if it doesn't, try other distributions. Do ...
Securities prices follow a log-normal distribution - a winning system?
-
Jasus replied Jun 26, 2011I have that in mind, but Black-Scholes is used widely to price options, so shouldn't it work? If it didn't work it wouldn't be used anymore right? I'm not sure, but if it didn't work the issuers of these options would lose in the long term and they ...
Securities prices follow a log-normal distribution - a winning system?
-
Jasus replied Jun 26, 2011Yes Black-Scholes model doesn't explain big price movements, but that's not a big problem because the possibility of sharp moves isn't so great. And it says prices follow a log-normal distribution, not a normal distribution, and a log-normal ...

Jasus replied Jun 23, 2011They say to live in a democracy is to be free, but we can't even use and invest our money like we want. They must think the problems in the economy comes from speculation. I'm already expecting european faggots to implement something like this. You ...

Jasus replied Jun 22, 2011I think it's a shakeout because it was on an uptrend and it a very wide spread down bar with high volume and the next bar up. MTM shows a shake-out like that, on the dow jones industrials at 1987 crash. Yes prices could continue to go down but it ...

Jasus replied Jun 22, 2011But they're working on making a global tax too: Yes economically it's a good tax, but then why not go ahead and tax poker, online betting, etc... It takes away your freedom. It's difficult to do work hard learning how to trade and developing your ...
Tax on financial transactions on European Union proposed yesterday

Jasus replied Jun 21, 2011But Tobin tax was never implemented was it? And a 0.05% or 0.1% tax would effectively kill day-trading.

Jasus replied Jun 21, 2011I didn't take this trade on AU because that NS made a higher high, but the 30m chart just made a test when that bar finished and it showed no supply, so should have entered

Jasus replied Jun 21, 2011I took a long on GU today. #1 - I interpreted that as a no supply, but it made a higher high so it could indicate no demand also. The next bar shows supply, but I didn't worry about it because the background was strong.

Jasus replied Jun 13, 2011I wouldn't enter because of the time, and even so in my opinion EU is not so weak... EU is coming from a saucer pattern, which shows accumulation. To turn this around I think there would have to be more selling, this might just be a pause in the ...

Jasus replied Jun 13, 2011From my volume feed it looks like a lot of supply entered on that bar, but it's an up bar after a test and with strength on the background it's unlikely that SM wouldn't absorb that supply. My exit was too early I guess... But if you were in that ...
