You were not scared of placing an order just at the London open? there are often some crazy movements at the LO. Or did you wait a few minutes after the LO to see how things were going before placing the pending order?

I would strongly recommend that you use the NewsCal indicator and configure the indy so that it displays a red vertical line for each red news. It's also very useful when you want to back test the day before going to bed.

I am terribly puzzled by your chart. Instead of placing a sell stop at 1.08900, you placed a sell limit at 1.09100???
