As much as I believe in the future of Bitcoin, I wouldn't categorize it as a widely used safe haven quite yet. There needs to be institutional money flow before we really see it reflected in the price compared to other assets.

Ripple won't stop until the SEC makes them stop. Ripple owns the majority of XRP supply. They have no incentive to stop selling it. In fact, they are counting on it. Ripple control the supply and own way over 50% of it. It's approaching 900 now.

A lot of the increased dominance can be attributed to the out-performance of bitcoin against all the altcoins. Not all of it though. This graph from the article shows bitcoin's rise against everything else. Bitcoin is king.
