The AUDUSD weekly setup is tempting but the monthly still looks bullish (almost a monthly BUB for April). I may take a short but last months bar and indeed the general uptrend would make me personally cautious about holding for too long.

Yes so did I but Oanda are an American company so I was explaining that GBP based account is available and you are not restricted to USD based account.

I used Alpari and they were fine but Oanda do GBP based accounts so went for this option. Spreadbetting would be good for scalping maybe but holding trades overnight you pay the spread every day = very expensive to do business. cheers fxp

Take a look at the monthly chart and March was a bearish pin bar. This stops me personally taking Daily/Weekly longs on NZDUSD for now. Doesn't mean that price won't go up but it's saying price is having difficulty moving higher.
