NuckingFuts replied Aug 11, 2008Imagine the 7 years of -'ve swap I'd be facing if I were short from 0.50
Almost as scary as the draw downAUD/USD

Sure, dig her up. I'd like to see it. I said I want Aussie back at 0.50 because my USD assets are like a permanent short. Never said I was short from 0.50

I agree with the line chart on the longer TF's. Great for confirming breakouts. EU double top on the monthly is another good example. Cheers mateAuslanco - GBP/JPY and GBP/USD (newstrade)

NuckingFuts replied Aug 11, 2008Nice inverted hammer on the daily. If we get a daily close above the real body, a retracement may be on the cards. Keeping a close eye on gold and oil. Gold seems to be holding us down. Still short from 1.6030 BTW

NuckingFuts replied Aug 11, 2008Yea, it's possible. I'd watch this resistance line to see if you get a bounce down or break back up through.

NuckingFuts replied Aug 11, 2008Great thread lilmoe. Will have to get back into the futures. A lot of price patterns play nicer than fx. Volume is usually the key with these babies. It's a bit hard for me to trade them as it's zzzzzz

NuckingFuts replied Aug 11, 2008It is subjective where the H&S neckline actually is. I like the monthly chart (last pic) which is the second weekly chart. The first weekly chart looks good too (same TL as yours). Aggressive entry could be now. Perhaps safer could be a break of ...

NuckingFuts replied Aug 10, 2008OANDA is one broker that is open throughout the entire weekend. As you can see below there is no weekend gap between NY close and Aussie open.

NuckingFuts replied Aug 10, 2008Your broker obviously closed before NY session finished on Friday, mine did not. There was no activity between NY close and Aussie open... So there is no weekend gap

NuckingFuts replied Aug 10, 2008Yes, but if activity occurs from NY close on Friday to Sydney open on Monday (Sunday EST), it can be considered a gap.

NuckingFuts replied Aug 10, 2008That is right. Volume can be used effectively if your broker has many good traders. If you're using some Syrian unregulated broker with 500 clients, it would not be as reliable.
