Wait until Sunday night, tomorrow is non farm payroll day and will probably be another choppy day. Better to be cautious. Of course August is never the best month anyway.

How many times will eurusd spike to almost exactly 1.24 and pay you guys a fortune in return?! Well done to anyone with the balls to just get on and trade this way, I think it's a great idea.

Python?! I'll have a look. Anyway, the purpose of learning c ++ was to get a grounding in the language used in mql5 but I've since found out that it's barely worth learning and it's a shit platform. All my ea's are in mq4 at the moment and I intend ...

For anybody reading this, if you ever read a post by Samer960 then believe what he says because he is a trading god! I used to read him on the legendary silent service method thread and he is an awesome trader. Really glad you stopped by samer, pop ...

Yes, a choppy day today. Eurusd put in a 200 pip hourly candle! Not easy to avoid some losses in this sort of environment.

Thanks for that link, I will look into it. It's a really good idea not to take large trades anywhere near a major news announcement!

Maybe a silly question but you did leave the platform open when the candle closed? It works perfectly for me every time.

I like it a lot. Sounds as if you have worked out what works for you. In terms of trailing stops there is an EA on the thread that trails behind an ma by a certain buffer but that can also be set to close the position if the price closes the wrong ...

I agree and I am always inclined to let profits run rather than take profits too early. Initially I did think a 2:1 to 4:1 rr would be a good idea but I can see that it won't always be the best move with these long trends. How about this? Place 2 ...

I wouldn't necessarily take profit earlier but I have thought about trailing the stop behind the 8 ema. That way if you get multiple trades you can reduce risk and lock in profit as the trend develops and if the trend does turn early then you get ...

Entry point 1 would be an aggressive entry. It's not strictly by the rules but it does have a good chance of being a winning trade. Neither of the other two would be valid trades anyway. As mentioned in previous posts your best trade would be to ...

If the daily is moving strongly and the ema's are in the right direction then I would be happy to take trades before the monthly closes.

Good question. I think it would be a reasonable trade but you could just as easily wait for the ma's to turn down again and then wait for a pullback day. I would say that either trade would be good.
