Spudfyre replied Apr 21, 2007Just my opinion and experience....but I find trying to relate the stochastics on one time frame doesn't work well. It skews the math for one reason, and with the math right through a seperate indicator will skew the time relationship. However, ...

Spudfyre replied Apr 21, 2007The "3", "2+1" idea is simply a visual representation of when the stochastics are crossing 80 or 20. It is simply a "tool" in the stochastic war chest but not necessary to use.

Spudfyre replied Apr 19, 2007You can look at it this way when stochs moving in all same direction 15/30/1H/4H/Daily .....safest way to make pips 15/30/1H/4H ....next safest way to make pips 15/30/1H ....still a safe way to make pips, but not as safe any two tf's ....risky but ...

Spudfyre replied Apr 16, 2007Away — I apologize I will not be able to respond daily over the next 2 weeks as I am out of town. The iNternet access where I am is rather pathetic on dial-up at 26 Kbps and that is if it stays connected more than 20 minutes. The good news is ...

Spudfyre replied Apr 16, 2007The reason not to carry the escalator through the 4H stochastic is that you may encounter too large a draw down for your margin to handle on the way to pip gains. Not that it doesn't work....just you must be prepared for large drawdowns the longer ...

Spudfyre replied Apr 13, 2007It plays on any video player...so you just need a freeware video player that can adjust speed. MS only has 2x. Another way to do it...is to time screen captures every 5 mins and make animated gifs. Uses a lot less disk space

Spudfyre replied Apr 13, 2007I set my stops usually at 50 by default and usually keep the margin of 40-50 from current price as the trade unfolds. This is to prevent spikes wiping out my trade, but offer protection to my account should anything bad in the world happen. Once I'm ...

Spudfyre replied Apr 13, 2007There could be a long move there...wait for the 5M for entry in this case. However, I'd prefer to chase it with the 4H pointing in our direction, given we are fighting an overall down move. If you go in, chase it just for a few pips and when you see ...

Spudfyre replied Apr 13, 2007It's nice to wait for a bar close if you suspect a turn or other movement you want some clarity in before committing. I don't usually wait for the 4H to close. I usually wait for the 15M to close and the 30M most times. If you are watching the ...

Spudfyre replied Apr 12, 2007I'll be going long shortly. I am timing my entry with the 5M stochastic...waiting for it to go down around 20. 15/30 are up, 1H turning. Good for a few pips...I'm aiming for 13. I'm looking for an entry price in the low 60's or 50's would be ...

Spudfyre replied Apr 12, 2007Thursday Trade — 4:08 pmCurrently 15/30/1H are all poking their noses at 80. 4H low (34%) and on a long down slide, but should be lots of time to grab some pips on a short and then hopefully catch a long a little later. 4:26 pm Short at 235.73 ...

Spudfyre replied Apr 12, 2007Typically you will only see divergence in one time frame at once. Though it can happen in more than one for brief periods. Generally, the longer the time frame it happens in, the more impact on price there is.

Spudfyre replied Apr 12, 2007Here is a closer look at the 30/1H/4H stochs. The bottom chart is the 30M price and stochs. We actually have 3 different trade options after a 4H window; 1. Trade the expected retrace 2. Trade the previous trend since this is a "2+1" and expect some ...
