At the .50 level the hourly candle is still green, as the previous hour closed below the .50 (FF open hour, not new hour).....so IMO the pending shorts are NOT valid at .50

173.50 is above last hours close on my charts.....would be green, not red....no short for me there.

Amen to that. However, the good thing to note is that if one can turn a nice profit in these conditions....life is good and will only get better as volatility picks up.

FWIW....this is how I filter trades quickly. One of my screens is this quick reference screen. I look at the 1 HR HA and the currency meter on 5,15, and 60 min TF. image

i would suggest forward testing live with small lot micro account. Back testing on Mt4 accounting for news etc. Is rubbish IMO.

to each their own. I track the results and until it shows me what I do gives me a negative return vs flat 5, I will happily continue on.

beacuase it is fast , accurate, and automatic. all important when scalping. I do this for a living not for entertainment. having 2-4 trades on at a time it is much less stress. I drop my script to enter the trade and my intervention is done .

Accounting for .7 pips commission is not a completely different trading plan......in fact Udine mentions to adjust for your broker. the way i select the pairs to trade has so far allowed me to avoid a full SL. When the trade hits the BE, I cover the ...

Fair enough....but at 7.00 per round trip (.7 pips) on a 5 pip target that is 14% commission on winning trades. to each their own, I mean you have to pay them regardless...I like to recoup that as much as possible.

FWIW....a good currency strength meter on 5,15, 60 mins can help choose pairs to trade....just my .02
