tommy, just to be clear, didn`t you say in an earlier post that you risk 5% of your capital, so wouldn`t that be 5x Grant`s 1%? get the feeling your system is still a work in progress and haven`t worked it all out yet..... keep going. if it were me ...

tommy, your system is better in ranging periods I would say. you`re placing 5% of your capital at risk, Grant only 1%. so if you would spruce up Grant`s system to 5% per trade, can you compare the systems over time with profitability and drawdown? ...

know that quite a few people mentioned volatility as the driving force of the profitability, but I dont think thats correct. volatility will only determine where your TP will be, not profitability. for profitability you need direction as soon as you ...

hello folks, I did a manual backtest on January 2010 for Grant`s system and we trade every trading day. If TP nor SL hit, we close out at the end of the day. Stop loss is 15+2 for spread, long and short buffers 5, TP @ 75, no BE and maximum of 4 ...

Tommy, do you only place an order when the 85EMA on the hourly is not in the box? can you give me a percentage of how reliable your EMA is in predicting where the currency will go for the day? thanks
btw the direction for the day might not be so ...0400-0700 GMT Breakout Strategy

Grant, I checked how the 85EMA worked for January to go long or short, although I do realise that 1 month is not enough data, but I would like to hear your thoughts how it performed in the past. I will check the other months of this year as well. I ...

I`m going to change TP to 1.3400 for two reasons: 1. today`s low was 1.5267 2. seems to come out of consolidation the daily ATR is at least 130 pips and on top of that coming out of consolidation I would be surpriced if price wont reach 1.3400 if ...

act, why dont you look up London time on the internet and compare that to Singapore time. if the difference is 7 hours, then you always look at 1pm Singapore time at the range for the last 2 hours and place your order. Until UK winter time. simple
