18,2 is the default in metatrader. I use them for lower time frame scalps and they're pretty good. Check the james16 thread for how Jim uses them on 5 minute charts with PA.

That's not correct. BB's use standard deviation to encapsulate price movement. They are used like S/R to predict the next movement.
