Since the market is more or less random, having a stop loss = tp makes your chances of winning about 50%.. i'm not saying that it's easier or harder, what i'm saying is that having a R:R ratio without W/L ratio or trade expectancy is pointless.

R:R is pretty pointless unless you know your Win/Loss ratio as well. But i don't think you can really know what the that ratio is, since the markets are always changing. oh well....

Haha, that's funny, interbank quotes widen during the news... it seems pretty reasonable that brokers increase their spreads as well. otherwise they would be risking a loss...
