CHF Interest Rate Release — I would trade the USD/CHF over the EUR/CHF since it is at 8 AM EDT. You would get USD news at 8:30 AM EDT that would increase expectations and pips. Two trades, one currency pair.

Not a straddler — I don't straddle trade and took a bath on this one. MT4 feed went down and crashed the trading platform. All I can do is mitigate my losses and move on to the next trade.

MT4 Crash — It appears that MT4 crashed during the US Trade Balance announcement across all users due to a problem with the feed from Currenex. I am in the middle of mitigating the huge loss I took on the trade.

EUR/USD and USD/JPY — EUR/USD and USD/JPY are 5 pip spread. Are they nuts? They aren't even in the USA. They are in Cyprus. You can't even check out the operation like you can with companies in the US who are members of CFTC/NFA

It is a state of mind. You still have the same job: Minimize your losses and maximize your returns. Pip values should not matter. If you worry about such amounts, your best bet is not to trade.

Trading is my job. Trading is what affords the rest of my life. Taxes - find a good certified public accountant within a Big 5, not an accountant you are related to or is a relative of your spouse.

Japan released a poor government report during overnight trading. USD/JPY trending up all day. Buy USD/JPY for a position trade and collect pips. It is a good trade.

Obviously I was correct about this since during the Housing Starts announcement, the USD/CAD was a short for the hour. Maybe there is a bit of logic to my madness !!!!

I trade day-by-day, not momentum of the week because anything can change within the day. Bloomberg reporting: USD down along with crude oil. Yen falling due to a government report.
