H4 Channel breakout — Cable today broke out of a descending 4 hour channel. That should indicate continued upward momentum.

triangle breakout — Cable today broke out of a daily triangle formation to the upside. This should indicate continued motion upward. This is further bolstered by the fact that Cable rebounded so nicely today even after pro-dollar news. Up, up ...

Thanks Marci. Some questions. For the following setting, will the EA exit all open positions when/if the Account balance drops to this threshold, or, will it just not enter any new positions? ---------------- MinVal = 5000 : Minimum value account ...

Looking at the statement provided by Fuki, the drawdown is 48%. Is that kind of drawdown to be expected with the Bagovino method?

Agreed. Also, wouldn't backtest results be completely meaningless since the EA generates signals intra-bar in real world deployment? Backtests would only show genuine crosses (based on end-of-bar data) but that in no way reflects what could have ...

Nice input aicccia (lots of c's in that screen name!). The notion of adapting one's system to every-changing market conditions is definitely sound. While I embrace that concept, I also believe in market cycles which at times can represent abrupt ...

Depends upon the EA, how its coded and the nature of the strategy. It is possible (and not too difficult to do) to have backtest results match forward tested trades. Many people poo-poo backtesting. But, with all fairness, there's a lot of variables ...

Thanks for sharing Glenn. Excellent results. To be clear, last time I jotted down your settings (which was just a couple of days ago) you had TS=15. (I got that from the post where you stated "so my final settings are TP 50..TS 15...and pipstep ...

Great. Thanks. I don't recall seeing that posted in this thread. So, it's good to have it here along with the post regarding funbot's EA. Does anyone know if either Aha or funbot are continuing to work on this?

Sorry, should have provided clarification. Just open up an additional chart and apply this EA. It won't interfere with FB. It simply logs account info (e.g. balance, equity, margin).

Which EA by Aha? Was there one specifically coded for either Micardo's or MarkJ's strategies? Have you tried the EA coded by funbot which was posted here? Maybe enhancements to that one would be most appropriate. Cheers Bill

Cool idea Dagnar. Seeing all of the signals generated by the indicator someone whipped up, I was thinking about this as well. Thanks for doing this. Now it's time for testing the concept both forward/backward. So, will this EA exit an open position ...
