Btw, since cable retested 1.60, I have been short @1.5997, and I don't see anything stopping it before 1.5915-ish. Reserve the right to chicken out at any point though.
Such a collapse might bring EG tracking back up to retest the support line ...Cable Update (GBPUSD)

From what I hear on the forums, and certainly from my experience, it happens to EVERYBODY. For my part, I lost a lot recently with a series of stopouts, following which PA moved quickly in the direction I had wanted. Grr. For the last week or so, I ...

EG seems to have found a base at 8005. Long from 8007, for a quick scalp of retrace to demand line, with TP of 8020, SL 7997. Woohoo! Every little helps. Can't make up my mind about timing on GU - just missed the 140 bounce, dammit. Bloody ...

image I think it reminds me of a video game I used to play (showing my age). Why don't you tell us what you think? I honestly don't know what to make of it. looks good, though

Very true. Fortunately, I had no exposure at that point; I was hoping for the fall to 88 so I could go long. My only loss was of the pips I had hoped to bank as the market traced back up. Like most traders, I think I have a love/hate relationship ...

I was hoping for a fall to 1.6088, being the 38.2% retrace of the move up. My mistake was to hope for it: look what I did!

You see? Walls have ears, and PC terminals have...something similar. You get the idea.

Well, it is POET'S day... Cheers! P.S. For the benefit of non-English readers, POETS stands for P1ss-Off-Early-Tomorrow's-Saturday, and in the UK, you'll hear it a lot.

I love it when you go apeshit at the market action - makes me feel rational, calm and serene. Best not to go apeshit at the people, though, even if you can't hurt them - you'll just hurt yourself. Have a good weekend.

Break down now looking fairly secure (famous last words!)... Here's hoping NY do the right thing for the afternoon session. Have a great weekend all.

1.6107 +/-2 becomes resistance. Lower flag line broken. Good response.

False break - just some stophunting, I imagine. The market may turn up, but I don't see why it should be dictated to by some random marketmaker looking to catch a few stops. That's what I'm hoping, anyway... Still short - the buggers didn't get MY ...

Now who's chicken? lol (£ looking horribly resilient, mind you. The bears all seem to have wandered into the woods - I'm hoping they're just doing what bears do in the woods, and will be back - soon!)

GDP figures mildly positive - probably less than the market hoped for. But the inflation figures should give pause for thought, shouldn't they? 2.8 q/q vs. 2.0 forecast. Might stay the Fed's hand on QE, and what would be the usual knee-jerk reaction ...

Trouble is, look what effect the positive housing starts had - none. And after a series of good data, the market is probably factoring in strong GDP anyway. Mind you, I'm praying for and expecting a strong $ for now, based on PA, but I don't put ...

Absolutely! If the US GDP figures are good, and the market wants to go up, it'll say 'GDP's good, everything looks great!'. If it wants to go down, it'll say 'GDP's good, QE's on hold'. That's why I think fundamentals are a waste of time. Excuses ...
