trevwest replied Oct 16, 2007i am kind of hesitant to place any jacko trades right now... worst TIC report in 9 years, and barely made any negative impact on the dollar? i think the big money is pushing the $ up for the moment.

trevwest replied Sep 21, 2007fxsol is an option, i use them, they go down to microlots... spreads are a tad high, and they dont use metatrader... but they do have trailing stops, that stay on whether your software is running or not...

trevwest replied Sep 20, 2007good move... i am still long from 3870... fortunately my brokers trailing stop only moves every 10 pips... so the retrace down to 3934 didnt take me out... 4 pips from my stop.... added a position at 4000, stops now at 3980, so worst case +110 on ...

trevwest replied Sep 19, 2007scale trading — this is scale trading, which has a following in futures. however, it is much more manageable with futures, and tends to have huge drawdowns. the principle is buying when price is in its lower 20-30% range. for example, corn ...
The Lazy Forex Trader's Way to Riches

trevwest replied Sep 18, 2007i was fortunate enough to wake up at 2am this morning, saw that price had falled to 3827... so i entered a buy stop at 3870... for my much ballyhooed 3900 trade anti hedge... currently +105, ts at 3930... covering my -30 loss and guaranteeing me at ...

trevwest replied Sep 17, 2007thanks jacko, i understand their view point... i would prefer to buy on the dips myself, but i have to use buy limits (catching the falling knife) which i have had less success with, or i always seem to miss the opportune moments... buying on the ...

trevwest replied Sep 17, 2007well, as i said in several previous posts... i was adding to an open position. when price reached 3900, i had 2 lots open from 3670 (an anti-hedge), 1 lot open at 3800, so i continued to ride the trend. i would have got in at 3900 regardless, i dont ...

trevwest replied Sep 17, 2007not missing the point... i had a trade at 3900, it was stopped out for -30 at 3870... i was assuming that the previous poster was in the same situation.

trevwest replied Sep 16, 2007i guess i was making an assumption there when the poster said they were stopped at 3871... i had added positions at 3800 and 3900, so i am planning on reentering at 3870, if and when price drops... but yes, would only anti hedge on a losing trade.
Jacko's Forex House of Pleasure and Pain
-
trevwest replied Sep 16, 2007the re-entry at 3871 should be the anti hedge for your original trade at 3900, so i dont enter again at 3900, until the anti hedge resolves.... i generally only enter on the xx00's so i would add to my position at 1.4000 (assuming price reaches that ...

trevwest replied Sep 14, 2007i wouldnt say lucky... this is a trend trading method, you might have a few weeks of 10 and 20 pip winners and losers, but it lets you catch the big swings... lucky entails a random entry getting a big win... entries on this method are planned. i ...

trevwest replied Sep 13, 2007because there was no 50 pip retrace between 3600 and the time he got stopped out... i went from 3670 to 3875... price went up to around 3930 and retraced 50 pips at that point, which stopped most of us jacko method traders out....

trevwest replied Sep 12, 2007isnt adding to a winning position one of the basics of trading? i have been long since 3670, an anti-hedge trade, added at 3800, and at 3900... the 3900 may potentially end up a losing trade, but it may end up being a big gainer if price continues ...

trevwest replied Sep 11, 2007thats only for metatrader. most trading programs have some version of a trailing stop, but they are all implemented differently. for instance, my broker, FXsol, uses a built in trailing stop, in effect as soon as you activate it. however the minimum ...
