I repeat...The tdi cross does NOT repaint. If you see a cross on the candle close and it disappears on the next candle close, you not using the correct Tdi. Besided you can use this indicator to see open and close values for backtesting the Heiken ...

If you wait for the candle close and if there is a TDI cross, it will NOT repaint itself, meaning the cross will remain. The Tdi is not a static indicator unlike the stochastics. Therefore, backtesting should give you pretty accurate results.
