Route206 replied Aug 1, 2016Indeed! and that got me thinking as to what could be a promising new feature of EG_104.. So as we all notice, EG_104 going FLAT before the weekend and/or before news is around 50% successful. This means that in 50% of the cases you're wide open to ...

Route206 replied Jul 31, 2016Hi Bauta, Why does EG104 show a negative of 672.84, when the real number is -649.93 (I checked positions on terminal with Excel, SUM=649.93)

Route206 replied Jul 29, 2016Good for you and well done. Interestingly enough I find myself now in the same situation with EurUsd. I am trapped short and now also need to wait it out.

Route206 replied Jul 28, 2016As I wrote earlier, most of the money is made with symmetry when price is dancing around entry price. As such it is important to keep grid distance small. When price starts to trend, it becomes dangerous quickly when positions start accumulating too ...

Route206 replied Jul 26, 2016I can't say it's reasonable nor that it isn't. The only thing is that if you have 1M$ in your account and you don't look for a month, it will have corrected itself. If on the other hand you have 10K$ and you nervously look every 5 minutes, then it ...

Route206 replied Jul 26, 2016I'm with WHS and my minimum is 1, not 0.1 which would be better. Settings: 35% for grid expansion and 15 for grid factor. A 50k account didn't survive a multi-day 200p/day drop on backtest. So waiting for that event now in forward testing.

Route206 replied Jul 26, 2016Welcome to grid trading! The always correct answer is: ride it out if your pockets are deep and your balls are big. Other options are hedging and re-entry, worst case is take a loss and start over. Hope is not a strategy though. Make your plan first ...

Route206 replied Jul 24, 2016Is it just me or is eurusd really the only 'good' pair. Everything else seems to be regularly locked up for a couple of days. Only eurusd seems to recover quick, within 24hr, 36 max. DAX also still very good. Agree with neutralize being important, ...

Route206 replied Jul 19, 2016Been trying Dax wth grid factor 20 and gridpercentincrease of 35 for couple of weeks now. Very promising as Dax is super bouncy, which is good for symmetry. Has survived many drops and bounces. Try it for yourself.

Route206 replied Jul 16, 2016True, but how is it different from "it may may start to move further against you just after you add your additional positions"? Interesting analysis though Sunnybeach! Don't get me wrong, I know that diligently waiting it out with deep pockets and ...

Route206 replied Jul 15, 2016I do agree with the latter, but... the issue that worries me more is accumulating too many positions. Note that with EURJPY we would have been dancing around with 10lots by now!! Also: there is always MaximumLevels... it is determined by your ...

Route206 replied Jul 15, 2016Hello Bauta, Yesterday I hedged my EURJPY as the market kept grinding higher and i didn't want 5.11 lots of (my!) JPY floating around in the market. So far a smart choice. As am licking my wounds, i have been doing a lot of thinking ... a lot! Your ...

Route206 replied Jul 13, 2016I can't argue with that

It is all about indeed trying to take a little historic perspective into account, with the emphasis on "little", as indeed, the market does what it wants. Note the Belkhayate also repaints, one of its drawbacks, ...Expanding Grid

Route206 replied Jul 13, 2016Thanks, but please note it is the same indi: Belkhayate. The remark that we don't do anything in grey zone is for trend traders using SL/TP. Not for grid traders! Again, using channels or trend lines also work. The general idea is to take some ...

Route206 replied Jul 13, 2016Apologies for doing a poor job explaining.. maybe a picture helps. the idea is to slow down accumulation during times of high risk that price moves to the middle, so when it is very high or very low in band. So for example in case of our current JPY ...

Route206 replied Jul 13, 2016The neutralize function is very handy Bauta, but recovering from it will be a further challenge, or so it reads. Following your early advise: to keep EG104 alive as long as can, is the real challenge. So, have you considered this? When taking a look ...
