I find the various trading methods here interesting. Ive also been long AUD, but that was also around the 96 levels. I trade more so on fundamentals however with a longer term view. I did expect AUD to go down but only for as long as people were ...

When you say its going down, is that based purely on technicals?? Also theres a fed announcement later (Beige book) which could make things interesting. It seems with the negative data of late the market is pricing in more money printing.

Im not sure which direction it will affect AUD/USD however an interest rate cut will be weakness for EUR. So I imagine that would make AUD more attractive (this is an assumption however - im not sure on that one) Ive not looked too much into EUR but ...

Anyone watch any of the JPY pairs, ive got my eye on AUDJPY & USDJPY, they just surged upwards and I think that may have contributed to AUDUSD going up a little. Anyone know why?

Im keen to keep holding this until later in the month when BoJ and government discuss economics. Seems theres lots of pressure to atleast get the pair to the 85-90 level.

I hope youre right, the only thing I can think that caused such a huge hit is negative data from the US re job figures, therefore money flowing back into the safe havens. Seems a bit of a yoyo exercise of late. Having said that im not convinced ...

Looking at the 15 minute charts, within the space of not even 15 minutes it went from 82.5 to 81.3 What caused such a sudden drop. Whatever it was, thats a huge trade thats bought YEN.

Cheater, I agree with all you said there, except the bit on the US economy. While its definitely not in a good place and will be in a bad place for a while yet. What im taking note of however is its very slowly climbing back into better territory. ...

True, I think people have over exaggerated issues in China. Eitherway, im bearish on the AUD for now and next months RBA meeting should be interesting. On the other hand USD data is rather positive and one of the only markets rallying nicely. This ...

How so? Im of the other opinion, its going to get under $1. Aussie market seems to be taking a hit, with commodoties price going neutral or bearish and with so many people now tipping the RBA will have to lower the interest rate in May to stimulate ...

But America has ran out of people to kill, with Saddam and Osama (supposedly) out the way, how can they do that while making a fuss over the next big shot theyve captured and killed to over shadow the real reason.

That is true. I think our RBA is one of the best central banks around. For the last 20 years theyve kept inflation relatively steady. Inflation is currently 3.1%, while the target is 1-3% I dont see them raising it. Also as before that it was 3.5% ...

Unlikely the interest rate will move at all. If you look at the futures being traded on the ASX Interbank Cash Rate, theyve the same view that its going to remain steady. The drop in AUD could be attributed to the china data altho thats old news ...

Its funny how people see the slow down as a huge negative. Their lower GDP is still way bigger than just about all other countries. You cant expect it to keep that pace up indefinitely. So while demand for resources will go down, it far from signals ...
