hostwey replied Feb 17, 2016I would like to be able to sit behind Ray and watch him actually trade, whether it be price ladder, or charts. That I think I would pay for. You can also google past and former members of the prop room, and not always get favourable results!

hostwey replied Feb 16, 2016I agree actually and unless Ray etc are getting 'students' to create and submit trading journals then they are perhaps not getting an education. And to do this you have to get involved whether demo's or micro lot accounts.

hostwey replied Feb 15, 2016Didn't convince me because he would rage for ages in the free webinars, about indicators (but have an indicator ridden chart on show) and about the use and abuse of MACD indicators, oscillators and moving averages but totally misunderstood or ...

hostwey replied Feb 13, 2016I think you have a good point. And to be fair "Ray" does point out in his free webinars that he doesn't expect everyone will 'get it.' When we were at school some people were top of the classes, some were dunces at the bottom. But when you sign up ...

hostwey replied Feb 12, 2016I did wonder if "Ray McMedici" was the user 'medici' on Forex Factory. Despite a similar background in his bio to Ray (Automated Systems, Quantitative Analyst, Technical Analyst) but reading his posts so I don't think so. Coincidence though!?

hostwey replied Feb 1, 2016Ian All these months in the prop room how are you getting on towards your goal of becoming an independent trader? If (heaven forbid) something happened to Ray tomorrow, could you continue? That is the acid test of a course really. You attend, learn ...

hostwey replied Nov 2, 2015Out of interest what has happened to the market maker guy? I kinda like him. Is it just Ray and Mark? I like Mark too though always seems to be in Ray's shadow.

hostwey replied Nov 2, 2015There is no IP protection required for Ray's stuff. There is nothing new in Forex and trading and general. Well nothing you can 'protect' anyway. How do you protect market and volume profile, or delta/gamma hmm? I agree, Ray's market session was ...

hostwey replied Oct 3, 2015Boris and Kathy are real people, Boris is interviewed on CNBC. I follow them on Twitter. I've mentioned another Compass mentor/trainer Dean Malone who is a registered broker. I've no idea who "Eusebio" is (unless its the Eusebio behind the Max ...

hostwey replied Aug 3, 2015Yes I think this attitude is a problem, due to the retail market desire to see 'live deals' and often Ray's style is misinterpreted as hindsight trading. However the right hand edge is for execution only and you can't press the trigger without the ...

hostwey replied Aug 2, 2015Would an M or W pattern resemble Ray's 'low volume tap back' though Ray obviously has the benefit of more accurate volume information than is available to a retail trader on an MT4 platform for example. But once again its a matter of 'context' not ...

hostwey replied Jul 28, 2015I'm not a member of the Compass FX prop room but have learned a lot from watching the free webinars. I certainly think 'Ray' knows his stuff and is very interesting to listen to. The last free webinar was very interesting about using volume to lean ...

hostwey replied Nov 2, 2014Good post by IMO, because with break out trades, you will mostly be going long, when institutional activity is looking to sell, and going short, when institutions are looking to buy. Good luck with that. Traders also loose money fading, being unable ...
Trading Made Simple

hostwey replied Oct 28, 2014Bit of a dangerous or 'less probable trade' to take IMO. How often do the break out trades succeed? What is also relevant is the overall market structure which preceded the move. Namely the build up of liquidity and stops during the Asian session. ...
