Hi lx, Along with HGs excellent post, take a look at this. The scenrios are not the same but, it might go some way to explaining some of the thinking behind what happens in the build up to the type of trade you were looking at.

SM do control the descent as per my No1. SOMETIMES they will stall price or even raise it as per my No 2. They may not stall price, just try and force it to fall to where they want it. Who said that SM does not include banks? I certainly never. ...

You make a good point here. I would like to pick you up on one point tho, I am a huge fan of multi TF analysis. I look at the whole range of TFs every time I trade. Mostly to confirm or refute my GENERAL market analysis. I will also trade them if I ...

A couple of good answers already There are several reasons for demand entering in a down move however, some times there is no demand entering at all. It just looks like it because price is rising. In no particular order:- 1 SM do want to control the ...

This is where software falls down. There are no reliable VSA based entries here. Sure there are signs to be read but, how you interpret the chart is all important. In this instance, yes it works but, there are a great many times it doesn't. Also, ...

For all you guys who are trying to learn VSA, you absolutely MUST know this book inside out. Keep it with you while you watch the charts and try to pick out the bars and their meanings. You need to be able to do this as second nature every time you ...

I have to go now so I will explain quickly. Take another look at the UT. It is on volume less than the previous 2 bars. This means it is not an UT, it is a psuedo UT. These are notoriously unreliable and should be used only with great caution. I ...

When the setup is complete, I will take it no matter where it is.........almost! It was not stopping me this time.

I wouldn't know about that, I don't have TG. Many of the trades I take are against the trend and this one has all of the componant parts of a good setup. However, there is no way I would take the trade.

Thats right. For this type of setup, the SL should be at UT high + 2 pips for best results. Of course, if that doesn't fit with your style, you should make your own mind up. But, if you put it at the ND high, you will be stopped out most of the time. ...
